Holver Arango is a forestry engineer with over a decade of experience designing, monitoring, and managing conservation and sustainable forest management projects. As Director of the GHG Quantification at Terra Global, he oversees the development of transparent carbon accounting, ensuring alignment with international standards and best practices. Throughout his career, Holver has partnered closely with rural communities, national research and environmental institutes, municipal governments, and agrarian bodies in Colombia. He brings deep expertise in community-based forest management, land-use planning, and environmental and agrarian law. Holver’s work spans public-sector roles, international cooperation programs, and private-sector initiatives—all united by his commitment to human-rights–centered approaches and sustainability as the foundation for forest conservation and restoration. Holver holds a Bachelor of Science in Forest Engineering from the National University of Colombia. He is passionate about leveraging science and policy to improve rural livelihoods while safeguarding critical forest ecosystems.
