End-to-End Support

Pre-Investment

The Pre-Investment phase of Terra Global’s work focuses on identifying, evaluating, and preparing programs for climate finance. This work includes:

• Program and Partner Sourcing: Identifying potential programs and partners through our strong network, presence in the markets and decades of expertise in the field
• Business Case Development: Assessing program feasibility to ensure that climate finance can generate returns for program partners and investors while delivering the climate, community and biodiversity benefits
• Investment Readiness: Ensuring programs meet the necessary requirements for a private sector climate finance investment including:

1. 1. “Investment grade” carbon and financial projections
   2. Operational, Monitoring and Fiscal policies in place
   3. Government support and approvals secured

Investment Deployment

Once approved, programs move into the investment deployment stage, where carbon development starts a 30-36 month process with local partners to meet market standards requirements.

This work includes:

• Implementation of program activities
• Further community engagement
• Participatory field data collection
• Land-use analysis and control plot determination
• Developing program documentation
• Dissemination of program documentation
• Managing the 3rd party and standards audit process

Investment Period

After the 1st issuance of carbon, programs are provided on-going technical support:

• Ongoing implementation of program activities
• Regular meetings on workplan progress and on-going program management
• Support for collection and analysis of operational monitoring data
• Fiscal management and reporting
• On-going monitoring reports, field data collection, quantification, standards documentation, dissemination and audit
• Administration of Benefits Allocation Plan
